Grateful

Hi and Hello
I said Good morning to a friend a minute ago and just a simple text made me think how lucking I am 🙂 Not only to have friends but to be alive and Grateful to be where I’m at Right Now. It really doesn’t matter the big plans we might have or the challenges we face. its simply realizing that your still alive and able to make a difference today no matter how small it might be.. And I am Grateful for the chance 🙂 So Smile and have an Extraordinary Day😀💖♻

Procrastinator

Are you a procrastinator?

The science of physics recognizes two laws of inertia, both of which can be related to procrastination. No. 1, “Standing objects tend to remain stationary” and No. 2, “Moving objects tend to stay in motion.”

Which one represents you best? And how can you go from “standing” to “moving”?

Try these strategies to stop procrastinating:

1. Take five minutes to list out the things “you were going to do tomorrow.”

On a blank sheet of paper, note several important activities you are delaying or have put on hold.

2. Look at your list—and do one thing on it right now.

Put the energy you’ve been directing toward excuses into the activity you’ve been avoiding. Action eliminates anxiety.

3. Pick a time (today) to work on the list.

If getting started is the hard part for you, set aside a designated time slot, at least 30 minutes, for work specifically on one job, project or personal goal that you’ve been “leaving until later.”

4. Quit trying to be perfect.

What counts is quality of effort, not perfect results. Don’t let yourself get bogged down with a preoccupation for perfectionism.

5. If what you’re putting off involves other people, talk to them.

Your reasons for delaying action might be imaginary. Lack of communication often turns molehills into mountains.

6. Ask yourself, What’s the worst thing that could happen if I did this today?

Do you fear the consequences associated with the action you’ve been avoiding? The worst-case scenario most likely would be a minor inconvenience or a temporary setback.

7. Imagine how you’ll feel once you do whatever it is you’ve been postponing.

Freedom from anxiety. Freedom from nagging pressures. Freedom from self-doubt. Accomplishing put-off tasks will give you a great boost of confidence and energy

New Standards

Today
Today is a gift don’t ever think it’s not. Even though it seams bad it will pass. I have been sick for more than half my life and most of that was bad, however I knew it would pass. today I have been trying to feel better within my mind and skin, lack of food and sleep will do that. But I have also decided not to give in. I have written this message as a standard of living. From today I will try not to complain how bad I feel. I will stay away from the negative whatever it is (people, news gossip) Always look on the bright side of life (Monty Python) and above all will take Complete Responsible for my Life (I will go into details on this soon) and other standards I may share with you in time. 🙂 But for now I have a lazy state of mind. Been in bed for most of this day, may write again today just to let my mind think of the possibilities that may come from this 🙂 Have an Amazing Day.

Get busy

Hi, I know it’s been a while since I have written I have been lazy no other reason than that. So today I decided to set aside time every Sunday to write a blog and I have mentioned before that it could be about anything and everything 🙂 to do a brief catch up I stopped all my treatments, had a birthday (49) almost completed school (Still need two math classes) Have 5 new goals and 3 have to be completed in 140 days. I’ll let you know what they are soon, you can guess why the 140 days. But a hint will be to “add the days” I also have some new rules to follow and will post them soon too.

Life has been a challenge we all can relate to this in one way and what I go through has the same weight as what you go through just on different levels. My life has been blessed in a lot of ways and I am so Grateful for all my challenges and hardships I have been through. And whatever happened in my past has lead me to this very moment. this very spot, I am sitting outside writing to you under a tree enjoying this day in peace so be thankful for your past but leave it there !!! Enjoy the simple things in life. Think of how you are feeling at this moment in time Because that’s what it’s all about. Pure and simple 🙂

June 14th

Good morning,

It’s a beautiful day the sun is shining the birds are singing and I should be studying, it’s just time to enjoy the moment for now and try to write something down. Well this morning while I was walking bd at the Beaches off leash area I seen a deer being chased by two police officers. The deer jumped over a fence and was in a backyard of a local. I thought to myself what were the police going to do? How would they capture it? But luckily it jumped the fence and disappeared, I am still amazed how something so beautiful can live in the city. I think it came from the Bluffer’s park but who knows  🙂

Jim Rohn

Stop looking at other people who live the good life, commit to your improvement—and let it be you.

Each and every day, people are living their dreams. Millionaires are created. Families form and create tremendous relationships. Individuals get healthier day by day. Life-long learners grow intellectually and improve their lives daily. Let it be you!

The fact is, living the life of your dreams is possible. People prove that every day.

Have you ever looked at someone who has money and wished that it could be you? People think about getting wealthy all of the time, when only a small percentage actually does. But any of the masses could. Someone is going to start a business. Someone is going to make a great investment. Why not let it be you?

Someone is going to decide to improve their relationships. Someone is going to enjoy love with their family. Someone is going to schedule some meaningful time with their friends. Why not let it be you?

Someone is going to become a life-long learner. Someone is going to go back to school. Someone is going to set a goal to read a book each week for the next year. Why not let it be you?

Someone is going to make the decision to become healthy. Someone will run their first marathon. Someone will join an aerobics class. Someone will start eating better. Why not let it be you?

You get the point. Everyday people are improving their lives. It is simply a matter of a decision being made. Let it be you!2

But how? By following these very simple actions:

1. Commit to working on yourself.
Are you going to improve or stay the same? No matter what you have achieved, you are at a certain point right now. What you have achieved in the past is fine, but it doesn’t make a difference for the future. The decision about what you will become is made each day and every day.

Each day someone is making the decision to better him or herself. Let it be you.

2. Make a plan.
Once you have decided to become better, you will have to have a plan. It doesn’t have to be a long, intricate plan. It can be simple. Save a dollar a day. Walk a mile a day. Read an article a day. That is a simple plan with achievable goals.

Someone is going to develop a plan that will take them into the future of their dreams. Let it be you.

3. Begin to act.
All of the great ideas, without action, become stale and useless. The key to turning dreams into reality is action. People who have great ideas are a dime a dozen. People who act on their dreams and ideas are the select few, but they are the ones who gain the wealth, health and wisdom that is available.

Someone will act today. Let it be you.

Stop looking at others who live the good life, wishing that you were as well, and instead begin to commit to your improvement, develop a plan and act on it. Someone is going to. Let it be you!

Liveing Authentically

What really is the meaning behind the words to “living authentically”?  I have read it defined to be authentic is to be yourself, comfortable with yourself, open, living truthfully and free of the pretence that you display to the world in your work and life relationships.  Deepak Chopra writes, “A person who is free has no need to focus on outcomes. He is not tied to the opinion of others. He never forces anything, not the smallest action. He refuses to listen to fear. “

I know from my own experience how easily I took on the role of victim at such an early impressionable age.  I wore a social mask that was thriving on approval and throughout my teenage years made poor decisions because I wanted to fit in and be accepted.  I always worried about what others thought of me.  I was easy prey to those people who wanted to hurt me.  I didn’t trust myself or believe in myself which led to a cycle of victimhood for many years.

There are many people today around the world living life who have taken on the victim role because it is so deeply ingrained subconsciously in their core beliefs. They have created this vision for their lives and while doing so are making choices based on their self-loathing and fear.  They blame others, so indicative in our culture today, for their misfortune and unknowingly denying themselves true happiness. They are setting themselves up to suffer and failure.  We are not perfect and when you “wake-up” and step out of Ego, you will realize you can make the choice not to believe in what others think or feel about you and break the negative cycle of victimhood.

My spiritual journey has led me to love and accept myself and has allowed me to learn to trust myself to finally make the right choices and change the source of self-limiting beliefs.  I am not completely free and it takes practice daily to be immune to criticism, be non-judgemental and live without fear.  In the Course of Miracles there is an affirmation that I practice every morning, “Today I shall judge nothing that occurs”.    In my day I continue to reaffirm this statement when I catch myself judging.

In Eckhart Tolle’s book, A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose, he writes: “If you can be absolutely comfortable with not knowing who you are, then what’s left is who you are – the Being behind the human, a field of pure potentiality rather than something that is already defined.”  I am no longer defined as the “victim” and don’t care how others define me and work at just being.

Bottom line, we have to take responsibility for our inner peace and stay in the moment.  To get out of ego is simply during your day being aware of your thoughts and emotions.  You alone can shift your mind-set from negativity to positivity.  Jesus preached in his message: “ I am the way and the truth and the life” and this essentially is living authentically – we are life, we are light, we are Spirit .

The Law

The law of karma, says only this: `for every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as its cause was skillful or unskillful.’ A skillful event is one that is not accompanied by craving, resistance or delusions; an unskillful event is one that is accompanied by any one of those things. (Events are not skillful in themselves, but are so called only in virtue of the mental events that occur with them.)

In other words..

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.Watch your words, for they become actions.Watch your actions, for they become habits.Watch your habits, for they become character.Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny..
